AN UNSCRUPULOUSLY HILARIOUS MUSICAL
Based on the popular film, this Tony-award winning new Broadway musical is so much fun it's almost criminal. Set on the French Riviera, sophisticated con-man Lawrence Jameson makes his living by deceiving wealthy women. When small-time crook Freddy Benson arrives on the scene, a hilarious "battle of the cons" ensues. With side-splitting lyrics, and superbly catchy songs, this modern take on the old-fashioned musical is sure to take you in.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a musical comedy inspired by the 1988 movie of the same name starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine. It's set in a fictionalized French Riviera town of Beaumont Sur Mer, where a pair of rival con artists set out to con a woman out of $50,000, with the loser being forced to leave town. Along the way, there are a number of twists and turns — and musical dance numbers. In a way, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is part of a new type of Broadway show — along with shows like Urinetown, The Full Monty (whose creators, Jeffrey Lane and David Yazbek, also created Scoundrels), possibly even Avenue Q (an adult puppet show) that are smart, funny and self-referential even as they embrace hoary Broadway traditions, which makes them fun on two different levels.
