TACKLING ROMEO Film gets NYC Screening at Dolby 88 Theater, June 14th 2013: Stage Musical in Development TACKLING ROMEO will receive a NYC screening on Friday, June 14th, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Dolby 88 Theater. The current creative team attached to the US remake already consists of Academy, Tony, and Olivier Award winners and nominees...[including] Lisa Stevens, Associate Producer and Stage Choreographer. In an attempt to challenge the current business model, where a decade or more can elapse between movie premiere and opening night, the stage musical will be developed concurrently with the film's production to capitalize on Tackling Romeo's theatrical run. This Director's Cut of the original Australian film serves as the source material for the new U.S. feature remake and the succeeding stage musical.

Lisa Stevens will be adjudicating the 2013 National Show Choir Competition taking place in Toronto on April 20th and 21st 2013. The competition will feature awards and prizes for the top choirs and outstanding individual performers. LISA STEVENS RECEIVES 2012 OVATION AWARD NOD Congratulations to Lisa Stevens, who has been nominated for an Ovation Award for Best Choreography In A Musical for her work on XANADU! The choreography involved several hours a day learning to roller-skate, and devising dances for the cast on wheels. Look out for the results on January 27th!

The Calgary Theatre Critics have selected their nominees for this year's Calgary Theatre Critics' Awards, the Critters. Theatre Calgary's production of Nicholas Lloyd Webber and James D. Reid's adaptation of Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince garnered five nominations: Best Production of a Musical, Best Director of a Musical (Dennis Garnhum), Best Technical Design (Sean Nieuwenhuis), Best Actor in a Musical (Adam Brazier), and Best Support Actress in a Musical (Louise Pitre). Congratulations to all of the nominees! Winners will be announced at a public awards ceremony later this year.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is proud to have been selected by Cameron Mackintosh to present the American Northeast premiere of his hit stage adaptation of The Witches of Eastwick, the sexy new musical comedy based on the Warner Brothers hit motion picture starring Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon and Cher. Brewing and stewing about their dull lives, three small town New England women wish for the man of their dreams...and get far more than they bargained for when all hell breaks loose and the devil incarnate, Darryl Van Horne, arrives to liven things up! Come on over to the dark side with this hysterical and devilish show, with its beautiful original score that was declared "musical comedy heaven" by London's Daily Mail.
